Comprised primarily of former airline and regulatory leadership, Oliver Wyman CAVOK is proud to be one of the first Qualified Certification Consultants (QCC) of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). As a certification consultant, we provide services to prepare a prospective Part 121 applicant for the FAA formal application process in certification.

Oliver Wyman CAVOK was retained to lead the client through the process of acquiring a combined FAA Operating Certificate. Oliver Wyman CAVOK has supported most of the major airline mergers in the United States over the last 10 years and has developed unique tools and perfected processes for achieving Single Operating Certificate (SOC).
Oliver Wyman CAVOK’s in depth history and experience with Single Operating Certificate (SOC) initiatives has allowed the firm to develop proven project execution methodologies and propriety tools. The project methodology allows operators to meet the FAA guidance while providing tailored implementation options for operators to meet their specific deliverables.
Oliver Wyman CAVOK was able to assist the client in completing their SOC efforts as planned over an 18 month project timeline. Oliver Wyman CAVOK's project methodology, proprietary tools, and expertise were once again successful.

Leading Cargo Carrier
The client, an established air carrier, recently expanded into cargo operations by adding a new fleet type. The client asked Oliver Wyman CAVOK to assist with the Entry-Into-Service process. This included reviewing and updating impacted, required airline manuals, and project management support through the FAA’s Major Change Process Document (MCPD).
Utilizing Oliver Wyman CAVOK's extensive airline operations experience with FAA Order 8900.1, Element Design Data Collection Tool (ED DCT), and unrivaled relationship with the FAA, a detailed project plan with tailored implementation options for the operators to meet their specific deliverable.
Oliver Wyman CAVOK provided advisory counsel, end-to-end monitoring, risk mitigation, and assistance in attaining all cargo operations. Developed and monitored the completion of manuals and maintenance program modifications to support aircraft operations per the schedule of events.
Successful completion of the B737-F addition to the client’s Air Operating Certificate by the target revenue service date.
