The Situation

A North American cargo carrier sought outsourced turnkey services for managing its technical publications and technical records functions.

This involved CAVOK using the client-adopted COTS software tools, including AMOS and AirVault, and adhering to the carrier’s approved procedures and policies.

CAVOK identified and dedicated systems-savvy staff for receiving and processing client documentation.

Defined procedures and key performance indicators, with progress and standards monitoring consistent with client expectations.

Adopted systems and tools responsibilities pertaining to all of the records and publications roles.

Represent the client in regulatory audits and aircraft transition cycles.

Keep current with tools and procedural updates by training/retraining and assigning staff with required capabilities.

The client is fully satisfying its configuration management and technical records functions without any in-house staffing.

Decision support information is available in almost real time with the accuracy and integrity needed.

Regulatory and internal quarterly QA audits are highly successful, with only minor or no findings.

Bottom Line

CAVOK has successfully managed the functions at an operational level for this client for over 4 years.
