Case Studies
Drone Operator
Drone Operator provides expedited product delivery; currently operating within other jurisdictions but wanting to expand its services to the United States. The project’s aggressive timeline required rapid assessment and development of required documents and programs. Assistance was needed to navigate the regulatory requirements to obtain FAA Part 135 Air Carrier Certification.
After completing a comprehensive gap analysis, Oliver Wyman CAVOK provided a detailed four-step approach to achieve certification: (1) Developed implementation road-map; (2) Created required documents and manuals; (3) Ensured industry best practices for content identified by Gap analysis; (4) Collaborated with client and FAA to provide regulatory guidance and strategy to certification.
All required FAA regulatory documents for formal application were prepared including operating manuals, training programs, compliance documents, exemptions/deviations, and waivers.
With Oliver Wyman CAVOK's comprehensive guidance, preparation and knowledge, our client was one of the first in line for the FAA Part 135 drone operating certificate.
